VLADISLOV’S DREAMS AND OTHER TANGENTS

The diagrams of a Russian scientist who had invented a high-tech device for tailoring clothing patterns were the inspiration for this installation. His meticulous diagrams fascinated me, as well as the typically male contribution of a technological device, however one in a more typically female domain of clothing construction. My own interest lies in responding to the diagrams by integrating them into my own female tendency to reference textile structures, such as stitching and weaving.
